Corridor Overview

Where Our Crews Work Most

As an Iowa City radon company, our strongest regional density is in Johnson and Linn counties. We also have a proven ability to serve homeowners and businesses as far west as Dallas County, north to Story, east to Dubuque, south to Scott and all points in between.

Primary

Iowa City–Cedar Rapids Corridor

Johnson, Linn counties

Our home base. The I-380 corridor from Iowa City, Coralville and North Liberty up through Cedar Rapids, Marion and Hiawatha is where most of our crews work every week, from Coralville Lake to the Cedar River.

Greater Des Moines

Polk, Dallas, Warren counties

Des Moines, Ankeny, West Des Moines, Waukee and Indianola sit on the Des Moines Lobe, the most recent glacial deposit in the state. We reach the metro along I-80 and price most jobs virtually first.

Quad Cities

Scott, Clinton counties

Davenport, Bettendorf, Eldridge, Le Claire and Clinton, about an hour east of Iowa City along I-80.

Cedar Valley

Black Hawk County

Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Evansdale, Hudson and La Porte City, north of Cedar Rapids along the Cedar River.

Ames

Story County

Ames, Nevada, Huxley and Story City, on the Des Moines Lobe north of the metro.

Why Radon Shows Up Across Our Whole Area

Des Moines Lobe and glacial till

Glacial till covers most of Central Iowa. The Des Moines Lobe, the state's most recent glacial deposit, runs through Polk, Story, Dallas, Hamilton and Hardin counties and releases radon easily. That's why radon potential is high statewide.

Karst limestone in the northeast

In Dubuque and Jackson counties, fractured limestone bedrock (karst topography) has crevices that give soil gas easy pathways into foundations. We design systems in Dubuque, Dyersville, Maquoketa and Bellevue with that geology in mind.

Distance isn't a barrier

Virtual estimates remove distance for outlying counties. Send photos from Grinnell, Webster City or Wapello and you'll get a flat-rate price the same way an Iowa City homeowner does.

Every technician who visits is credentialed through Iowa HHS. Learn more in our guide on why radon levels in Iowa are so high.

Customer Reviews

From Iowa City to Ankeny and Davenport

5-Star rated on Google, Angi & Facebook

"Our inspection came back high two weeks before closing. They gave us a price from photos the same day, installed the system that week, and the retest came back well under the action level."
Megan R., North Liberty
"We needed a test scheduled fast for a buyer's contingency. They placed the monitor, explained the closed-house rules, and sent a report that everyone could understand."
Jason P., Ankeny
"Professional and technically sharp on a multifamily building. Documentation was exactly what our lender needed."

Service Area FAQs

Do you serve Des Moines and Ankeny, or only Iowa City?

We serve both. Johnson and Linn counties are our home base, and we regularly work across Polk, Dallas and Warren counties, including Des Moines, Ankeny, Waukee and Indianola. Virtual estimates make distance a non-issue.

Do you provide radon mitigation in Davenport and the Quad Cities?

Yes. Scott and Clinton counties are part of our service area, including Davenport, Bettendorf, Eldridge, Le Claire and Clinton, about an hour east of our Iowa City base along I-80.

Why is radon a concern in Dubuque and Jackson counties?

Fractured limestone (karst) bedrock in Dubuque and Jackson counties gives soil gas easy pathways into foundations. We serve Dubuque, Dyersville, Maquoketa and Bellevue, and design systems with that geology in mind.

Do you charge more for towns far from Iowa City?

We quote every job up front as a flat rate, and the free virtual estimate means we can price your home from photos no matter where you are in our 27 counties. Your location may affect scheduling, and we tell you the full price before booking.

How quickly can you get to my town for a real estate test?

Johnson and Linn counties are our home base, so the Iowa City–Cedar Rapids corridor usually has the most flexible scheduling. For towns farther out, we plan routes around your inspection deadline. Tell us your contract dates when you book.

Is radon really a concern everywhere in my area?

Yes. Every Iowa county is in EPA Radon Zone 1, the highest-potential category. Glacial till covers most of the state, the Des Moines Lobe runs through Central Iowa, and karst limestone in the northeast gives soil gas easy pathways. Only a test tells you your own home's level.

Still have questions?

Send us your radon result and a few photos. You'll get a clear answer and a flat-rate price. 24-hour customer support for booking and questions.
