Terms of Service

Last updated: October 10, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By using iowaradonsystems.com or booking services with Iowa Radon Systems, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the website or our services. Signed proposals or work orders for a specific job may include additional terms, which apply alongside these.

2. Our Services

Iowa Radon Systems provides radon services in Central and Eastern Iowa, including:

  • Radon Mitigation: Custom radon mitigation systems for basements, slabs, crawlspaces and well water. Each system is designed after a free virtual estimate and covered by a 5-year warranty.
  • Radon Testing: Credentialed radon testing and inspections for real estate transactions, post-mitigation clearance, and homeowners who simply want to know their level.
  • Radon System Repairs: Repairs for existing radon systems, including fans, pipes and joints, indicators and error codes. We fix systems we installed and systems other contractors installed.
  • Commercial Radon Systems: Commercial-scale radon testing and mitigation for new construction, HUD-financed multifamily properties and schools across Central and Eastern Iowa.

Radon testing and mitigation work is performed by technicians credentialed through the Iowa Health and Human Services radon program.

3. Free Virtual Estimates

Virtual estimates are based on the photos and information you provide. If on-site conditions differ in a way that changes the work needed, such as hidden obstructions, a different foundation layout or unsafe conditions, we'll explain the difference and confirm any change with you before proceeding. You are never obligated to book after receiving an estimate.

4. Pricing and Payment

Prices are quoted in US dollars as flat rates for the scope described in your estimate or proposal. Payment terms are confirmed when you book. Commercial projects are priced per project after a site review.

5. Scheduling and Cancellations

Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. For radon tests, you agree to follow closed-house conditions and not to move or disturb test devices. Tests that are interrupted or show signs of tampering may need to be repeated at additional cost.

6. Access and Site Conditions

You agree to give our technicians safe access to the areas needed for the work, including the basement or crawlspace, utility areas, attic and exterior walls, and to tell us about any known hazards.

7. Results and Warranty

Mitigation systems are followed by a post-mitigation test. Radon levels vary with weather, season and changes to your home. Every system and installation is covered by our 5-year warranty: if your post-mitigation result is not where it should be, we will adjust the system as described in your warranty paperwork. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, alterations by others, disconnected power, unsealed sump lids, storms or other events outside our control. Fans and components also carry the manufacturers' warranties.

8. Homeowner Responsibilities

After installation, check your manometer periodically, keep the fan powered and the sump lid sealed, and retest at least every two years and after major changes to your home. Contact us if your manometer reading changes or the fan stops.

9. Website Content

Information on this website, including our radon guides and calculators, is for general education. It is not medical, legal or real estate advice. Talk to your doctor about health questions and your agent or attorney about contract questions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Iowa Radon Systems is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the website or our services. Our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.
