Retest Reminder Calculator FAQs
How often should I retest for radon in Iowa?
If you have a mitigation system, retest at least every two years. Homes without a system should be tested now if they never have been, then retested every two years and after any major change to the home.
Why does a renovation mean I should retest?
Finishing a basement, sealing a house tighter or changing the HVAC system can change air pressure and airflow, which changes how much radon is drawn in from the soil. A new test shows where your home stands now.
My manometer reads zero. What should I do?
A zero reading usually means the fan has stopped moving air. Check that the fan has power, then contact us for a system repair and plan a retest once it is running again.
